SNAPBACK CAPACITOR MODULE

Designed by goomy for convenience and simplicity!

$15. $5 For installation
Easy 3 wire installation that fixes snapback on both the X and Y axis with a higher accuracy than a lone capacitor. Due to the wear on controllers overtime the capacitance required for the controller changes and the capacitor needs to be changed. This prevents that as instead of desoldering and resoldering capacitors you simply flip a switch. Additionally different combinations of capacitors can be used for more precision. It allows for combining of capacitors to have more precise values. Compatible with emulator use, Wii and Gamecube. Higher capacitance may cause issues on the Switch for switch compatibility see No-Reset Snapback Module

 FAQ

DOESN'T UCF FIX IT?

No. They said controllers have too much variance in snapback to fix it in software. Additionally most fixes in UCF are done by increasing the leniency in certain inputs. If they were to increase the leniency for snapback it would ruin certain pivoting tech.

CAN YOU INSTALL IT FOR ME?

If you can drop off your controller in Richmond and pick it up or can ship it to me and pay for shipping and handling back then yes. Exceptions made on a case to case basis.

***if you ship in you are responsible for any risks associated

HOW TO INSTALL

Trim the wires if desired

There are 3 wires and unless otherwise labeled

Wire 1 = RED (OR GREEN)

Wire 2 = BLUE

Wire 3 = BLACK

Wire 1 to the middle pin of the x potentiometer

Wire 2 to the middle pin of the y potentiometer

Wire 3 to the right pin of the x potentiometer

Modify the controller and glue the wires as shown https://youtu.be/6sUz_foGi5Y?t=144

HOW TO SEE THERE IS SNAPBACK

HOW TO DETERMINE REQUIRED CAPACITANCE

Follow this list of which switches to turn on and test if there is snapback at each level UNPLUG YOUR CONTROLLER EVERY TIME YOU CHANGE SWITCHES

(For y axis 1=5, 2=6, 3=7, 4=8)

1 =.15 uf

2 =.22 uf

3 =.33 uf

1+2 =.37 uf

1+3 =.48 uf

2+3 =.55 uf

4 =.68 uf

STOP HERE IF YOU WANT TO PLAY ULTIMATE

1+2+3 =.70 uf

1+4 =.83 uf

2+4 =.90 uf

3+4 =1.01 uf

1+2+4 =1.05 uf

1+3+4 =1.16 uf

2+3+4 =1.23 uf

1+2+3+4 =1.38 uf

If you turn off all switches your controller will be exactly the same as stock
